There are lot of search engine optimization strategies around. If you, as a site owner, are serious about SEO and getting your site on the first page of search terms you target, Forum Posting is one of those strategies.

More than having a place where your users can discuss things related to your product or services, as well as getting more information out to your target market, the best thing with forum posting is that it gives your site a great and natural content while also making it easier to gain a higher ranking. The discussions about your products, services or niche are a great source to put in your keywords.

Unlike other strategies, forum posts give you the chance to have a high keyword density for your pages without having to have duplicate content.  Keyword density is one of the criteria to get a higher ranking in search engines, but is also one area wherein most sites get penalized for keyword stuffing.  Once you are penalized, your sites either get a lower rank or is banned from the search engines.  Forum posting makes it easier to have a high keyword rank without resorting to keyword stuffing.  The discussions on your forums containing your keywords would make it safe for you to have a high keyword density.

Forum signatures is also one area that you can exploit when availing of forum posting services. Having your main site linked from the forums using a forum signature can get you a backlink, which is also one of the main criteria for getting a good ranking in Google, among others.

The natural discussions and forum posts could also help boost the page rank of your forums which would make it even more valuable as a source of backlinks to your main site.

Further, unlike blog posts and articles, forum posting is more flexible and easier to do. You do not have to compose your thoughts the way you need to when coming up with a blog post or article. Forum posts can be conversational and informal, making it easier for you to connect to your users.

Search engine ranking is basically only one of the benefits that you get from forum posting. Getting a good ranking is only the first step. Aside from this, you also provide a discussion area for your products, service or niche that makes your customers feel more welcome to discuss anything. They could also be assured that they can get support and after sales service from your site. Forum posts could also help you disseminate information about your products and updates for the future.

Not all forum posting services, however, do a great job. Make sure that you contract only a forum posting service that has a proven track record in putting out effective posts that would help your initiatives.   Getting the wrong forum posting services not only wastes your money, it can also be detrimental to you and your site in terms of search engine optimization.

You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.

Thank you for the sensible critique. Me & my neighbour were preparing to do some research about that. We got a good book on that matter from our local library and most books where not as influensive as your information. Hi – very good website you have made. I enjoyed reading this posting. I did want to issue a remark to tell you that the design of this site is very aesthetically sweet. I used to be a graphic designer, now I am a copy editor for a merchandising firm. I have always enjoyed playing with computing machines and am trying to learn computer code in my spare time (which there is never enough of lol).

I thought it was going to be some boring old post, but it really compensated for my time. I will post a link to this page on my blog. I am sure my visitors will find that very useful.

  • Good information. Search engine rankings has come to a level where your anchor text and the amount of links you get matter the most. Even before the blogs coming into scene or Google was in power, webmasters would submit their websites to as many directories as possible to get any traffic they can.

Hrmm that was weird, my comment got eaten. Anyway I wanted to say that it’s nice to know that someone else also mentioned this as I had trouble finding the same info elsewhere. This was the first place that told me the answer. Thanks.

  • ayekijHms4 says:

The thing that would be great with this forum is if perhaps you had the ability to sign up for posts that you create; Is this plausible?

    • Technically, it’s a blog not a forum. :)

Sign up for posts you create, you say? Hmmm… you mean like a comment counter to show who are the top commenters? Nah, we’d rather just keep it simple. Thanks for the suggestion.

  • Good luck getting people behind this one.  Though you make some VERY fascinating points, youre going to have to do more than bring up a few things that may be different than what weve already heard.  What are trying to say here?  What do you want us to think?  It seems like you cant really get behind a unique thought.  Anyway, thats just my opinion.

    • Thanks for your opinion. I agree with you too. It’s hard to think of something new when almost everything has already been written. Glad we’re not an SEO company, because that would really suck if you can’t think of new ways to make websites get on the first page of SERPs. :)

  • celebrity movie says:

Oh my goodness!  Youre so right!  I really dont think anyones put it that way before!  You must be an expert on this because you just made it so easy to understand, made me want to learn more about it!  Do you, like, study this subject because you seem to be so in tune with the issue?  Keep it up, man.  Youve got a great mind for it!

i know this is not exactly on topic, but i have a blog using the blogengine platform as well and i’m having issues with my comments displaying. is there a setting i am forgetting? maybe you could help me out? thank you.

  • laptop bag says:

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!

  • tattoo parlors says:

I would like to thank you for the endeavors you have made in publishing this article. I am trusting the same best work from you in the future as well. In fact your fanciful writing abilities has inspired me to start my own blog now. Genuinely the blogging is spreading its wings rapidly. Your write up is a fine example of it.Thanks again for sharing this free online

  • blues piano lesson says:

I totally go along you! I have often felt that way but nobody really would like to take it as seriously as we do apparently. Excellent blog anyway, I am going to have to stop by more frequently.

  • Thanks for all the wonderful praises and comments. Please make your comments relevant and related to the topic next time and perhaps we’ll consider keeping your links. :)

  • Not every page that links to you is given equal “voting power”. Pages that have a high PageRank have more voting power than pages with low PageRank. This means that the “boost” a link gives to your own PageRank is closely related to the PageRank of the site that’s linking to you.
