With a lot of free and opensource blog tools (i.e., Wordpress, Blogger, Serendipity, Dotclear, Eggblog, etc.) right now, blogging has never been far from easy.  In fact, it’s simple enough that even many people (the casual bloggers)  have found the joys of  writing down and sharing their personal or significant experiences through blogging.  But for most, blogging has been one of the effective mediums to advertise their business or products online.

If your purpose is to make money online through blogging then you must remember that it requires your time and devotion to be successful in this field.

Here are some ways that will help you to get your blog noticed.

1. Name. Pick a name that is unique.  It should sound sweet, calm, easy to remember, easy to spell and say, while being related to your niche of course.

2. Objectives. This will simply help your readers to have a clearer view on what your blog is all about.  They should understand your purpose and your aim why you’ve come up with that kind of niche in the first place.  A better answer for questions like:  what makes your blog unique from the rest of your competitors, why they should subscribe to your blog & who is your audience.

3. Tagline. Always stick with your taglines, like mine it’s “Stylishly writing quality and affordable content for your site.”.  Make sure to always use your tagline because it’ll stick in people’s heads. If you keep on changing, people will forget it and even get confused about it.

4. Design. The feel and overall look of your site must match with your content.  If your site speaks about lingerie and make-up, do you think having a background image of a motorbike is appropriate?

5. Social Networking. Make your blog known by joining in social networking sites (i.e., Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, FriendFeed, etc.).  Not because they’re big online trends nowadays but you will have the tendency to meet new people who might be interested in your products, people who share the same passion as you and possibly make some friends out of it as well.

6. Paid Advertising. I think this isn’t really necessary if you think you can do well on doing SEO stuff full-time.  But on the other hand, paid promotional efforts can certainly make you reach your goals easier and faster.

7. Shout It Out. Take note of this, the more exposure you manage to give to your blog in front of the web users, the longer it will stick to them.

I guess, by now, there are already people who are doing these stuff and I’m sure they’re doing great which is obviously a good thing.  But indeed, this will also serve as a good resource for those who are just planning to start their first business blog.  And I hope this will help you sort things out before you start to make one.

By the way, all of these ways won’t be very effective if your site content is of poor quality.  You should have a solid and professional content that will wow your readers.  Research and learn the ways on effective and professional content writing.  If you need some help on this you can always contact us, anytime.
