Why People Blog

Before the internet civilization, certain people like to make a written record of their emotions, encounters, plans, ideas, apprehensions, and etc. in a book called a diary or journal.  A Blog, although not the same, is something similar.  The only difference is that a blog is meant to be shared or read.  The idea of blogging was soon accepted by thousands of denizens all over the Internet world.  It spread like wildfire.

With the web technology that we have today, setting up a blog site is easier.  More and more people are blogging these days.  What I’ve found is that people blog for a number of reasons.  (a) Meet new people – Some would say that they blog because they want to meet new people who share the same passion as they do.  (b) Blog to help – There are some that use their blogs to extend some help to other people, so it’s like blogging for a cause.  (c) Be popular – This one is a pretty common answer.  A number of people blog because they want to be famous!  (d) For money – And lastly, well I guess for so many of the bloggers, we blog because we want to make money.

Blogs help open up our inner world.  It gives us freedom to express ourselves and that is pretty cool!  For business-minded people, it also opens up an opportunity for them.  There is a whole lot of money to be made in the Internet.  So why not take advantage of it?  Even if your objective is to just write about your passions or what not, why should you not make some money from your blog at the same time?

So, get at least a little piece of the cake…
