An Anchor Text, or link title, is the readable and clickable part of a hyperlink. As links go, it usually leads to a page of a website. And with anchor texts it should be something that readers find relevant or descriptive of the contents of the link’s landing page.
Aside from human readers, a good and descriptive anchor text will also tell search engine robots what the linked page is all about. Although search engine algorithms are smarter now, if used carefully, this will still give a good push on your site’s ranking.

Many mistakes are made in that instead of making the suitable words as an anchor text in an article, “click here” or “read this” is used. This is very common and must be avoided.
If you want to create good anchor texts, try to put it in relevant words that will best describe the page where you eventually would want to lead your readers.
