Here are a few simple tips for effective writing that you can easily follow:

  • Good writing is something that is easy to understand.  Create clear and simple sentences as much as possible.  Keep your descriptions short and direct to the point.
  • Avoid using words that are not so common to the reader.  Don’t use fancy terms that the reader might find difficult to understand.  Only use uncommon words whenever necessary.
  • Use standard words.  Don’t use abbreviations, slang or jargon unless you are sure that the reader will understand and only when really necessary.
  • While short sentences might be easier to understand, don’t make all your sentences too short as to make it sound clipped or lacking.
  • Vary the length of your sentences.  Make some sentences longer, while other sentences are shorter.
  • The use of nouns and verbs is better compared to adjectives and adverbs.
  • Use the active voice more often than the passive voice.  It is better that way.

We love comments and you are welcome to say what you want. However, all comments will be manually approved. Please observe the following:
  • Write your comments in english. It doesn't have to be perfect grammar as long as it's understandable. Non-english comments will most likely be deleted.
  • Make your comments relevant and related to the subject. Anything out of topic will most likely end up in the spam bin or the link removed from the comment.
  • Links within the body of the comment will be removed even if your comment is relevant and related to the subject.
  • Avoid using keywords, and the likes, as your names. We might be a little lenient on this, but it would be nice if you used a human name.
Thanks!
