Words are vital elements in communication, both in verbal and in writing. When talking in front of a crowd, the very way you look says a lot.  Look pleasant but not overdressed.  Be enthusiastic and confident when talking, but don’t be arrogant. Maintain eye contact with the audience.  Your body language is important.  Move about instead of staying in once place the whole time and put in some hand gestures, especially when you are trying to make a point.  Facial expressions show your conviction.  All of these helps in conveying your message to an audience and keep them interested.

In writing, the same could be said.  Choosing a font style is just one of the many ways a word is presented. Another way is to write carefully chosen words in bold, italics, and even highlight it for emphasis.  Separate different thoughts in different paragraphs.  It is easier for people to read that way instead of a wall of text.  Apply different styles in writing to improve the quality and effectiveness of an article.

The use of regular and readable fonts is a must.  What good is a fancy font if the reader has a hard time reading it? Having the appropriate text size is also very important to make reading easier.  Some text, should be emphasized.  This will help readers understand what you are driving at, allow them to go through the content quickly and understand the subject matter better.

Have certain word or set of words in bold in the article to make it stand out. These are commonly applied in your targeted keywords, in titles or headings. Italics are used more often for lengthy text in paragraph form.  Underlining a word is also a good and effective substitute if you don’t want to use bold.

Highlighting keyword or phrases of an article also help the readers to show them the important details faster. With the colored or highlighted text, the reader can just skim through the article and get a good idea of the content.  This is helpful especially to people who are looking for something and can’t afford to read the entire content of the article.  If they see good points from the highlights they will stick to your article read the entire content from the start.

Apply all these with SEO in mind.  Remember, if people like what they read they will come back for more or refer your article to other people.  With a few adjustments to your texts, an article can change the perspective of the viewers of your entire website, especially the new ones.  This eventually will help drive traffic into your site, thus, turning your visitors into leads and/or sales.

Once you get their interest, you can direct your readers where you want them to go. As there is a wide competition in today’s market, your website needs to have content with writing style to entice readers.
