Blogging is still going strong up until today. It has been steadily growing in popularity over the years and has been one of the best practices in making an online presence. However, a blog’s online success does not apply to all bloggers. Not every blogger is experiencing the same success as the others. A lot of bloggers may get off to a good start only to become less active in blogging later because of the lack of desire to blog, runs out of topic to blog about, discouraged because of the lack of visitors, followers or comments, and some other reason. If you want to be noticed and stand out from the rest of the blogging world, here are some simple tips to help you:
• You have to work hard on your content before you think about monetization. Visitors love to visit a website that has entertaining, informative and quality content.
• Never copy other’s niche/topic just because they earn thousands of dollars every month. Choose a topic that you love to talk about. Express what your heart desires. This will go a long way since you will be able to write more about what you want effortlessly.
• Make an effort to optimize your website even for at least a couple of hours a day. You must know the importance of a proper domain name, link building, SEO friendly tags and permalinks, shortlinks, meta descriptions, title tags and some others.
• Connect with other bloggers. Be part of a community. Comment on other people’s posts (as they normally visit back). Reply to people’s comments on your blog as well.
• Blog on a regular basis but make sure to create an entertaining, informative or quality post. The topic doesn’t have to be very unique. You just have to write it in such a way that captures the audience.
• Do a research on what’s hot and what’s not. It’ll give you an idea on what to share to your readers.
• Work like a professional. Have a schedule as to when and what time you will work on your content, update your social media profiles i.e., Twitter, Facebook, Digg and some others.
• Establishing a revenue generating blog site takes time, thus, it requires patience, consistency and determination.
• Lastly, and most important of all, have fun blogging!
There you go! These are just a few tips to consider in gaining popularity of your blog. There is a huge competition in the market today. Be confident, be unique, provide quality and useful contents for your readers and in return they will love you.
Best of luck to all you bloggers out there!
